Cooking Classes with Richard

Richard has been teaching Cooking since 1996 when he developed a series of gourmet classes for the Mayo Clinic's Activities Program, in Rochester, Minnesota. Locally he is part of a group of chefs currently offering classes at Saratoga Restaurant Equipment Sales. Since many of our guests and outside students have inquired about and requested taking classes at the Inn, both Richard and Claude have now designed a set of classes only being taught at Saratoga Rose Inn.

"Fresh Pasta & Toppings"

We are mixing this one up - Learn how to make fresh pasta with Claude and how to sauce it up with Richard. Nothing compares to the taste and texture of well-made fresh pasta. Claude will demonstrate the technique from mixing the dough to rolling and cutting it. Richard will demonstrate 3 different sauces which can top fresh or dried pasta: with Broccoli Rabe, Italian pungent broccoli, with Cannellini Beans, Potatoes, Olive Oil & Garlic; Classic Alfredo with Pancetta & Peas; and Cauliflower with Onions, Currants, Pine Nuts & Saffron. Special Class & Stay packages are also available.

Schedule:

Class will run from Noon until 3:00pm on Sunday, January 17th - You will sample all the food that is prepared

Class Fees:

$60.00 tuition per student. A set of printed recipes will be provided

Space is limited to 6 students

If you would like to combine a class with a stay at the Inn, please view our packages, where you will find a special "Class & Stay" package. No discounts, promotions or coupons can be used for classes. Since class size is limited, make your reservation early to participate in the class of your choice. Class cancellation: The registration fee, when required, is non refundable. The tuition is refundable up to 72 hours before the class begins. There will be no refunds after the 72 hour deadline..
