Saratoga Rose Inn

Saratoga Rose Inn and Restaurant has been selected as a top ten "BEST WEEKEND ESCAPE" in North America for the Arrington's Inn Traveler, 2006 Book of Lists.
Arrington's Inn Traveler

Nestled in the foothills of the Adirondacks, this magnificent, romantic, 1885 Queen Anne Victorian is set on a rural hilltop, at the convergence of the mighty Hudson River and the white waters of the Sacandaga River, a short 18 mile drive to nearby Saratoga Springs and 10 miles to Lake George.  This historic home is complete with a sweeping veranda, spiraling tower, its original stained glass windows throughout, and formal gardens with a gazebo and koi ponds. Owners Claude Bélanger of Québec City, and Chef and artist Richard Ferrugio of NYC have brought their passion and skills together to create a very special place for your  romantic getaways and fine food weekends.

The Inn has four guest rooms in the mansion, each of which is designed in high Victorian style with period wallpapers and furnishings: the Garden Room, the Victoria Room, the Saratoga Room, and the Queen Anne Room.  There are two distinctive rooms in the adjacent Carriage House: the Adirondack Room is outfitted as a cabin with log walls, a floor to ceiling stone fireplace, and Adirondack art pieces; and the Colorado Room features Richard's hand painted walls, rustic white pine and black iron furnishings and southwestern art and décor collected by the Innkeepers when they lived "out West".

You can check availability for these rooms by visiting our Availability Calendar.

While each room is unique, all rooms have fireplaces, AC, and private baths. Four have hot tubs, (with fresh water only - chemicals are never used), 2 indoor and 2 outdoor, each private to the room, and four have TVs. Other amenities include free wireless internet connections (WiFi), private decks, and outstanding views of the beautiful surroundings.

Staying at Saratoga Rose Inn is special because the finest cuisine is a stairway away.  "An amazing culinary experience in a romantic setting," says SaratogaRestaurants.com.  "Great food, artfully cooked & delightfully presented," says Capital Region Living Magazine.  Breakfasts include home-made pastries, a fruit course, entree and morning meats.  Saratoga Rose Inn's Dinner Menu is a contemporary mix of regional American & Mediterranean cuisines with Asian influences.  Monthly Special Events include Wine & Beer Tasting Dinners and periodic Ghost Story Dinners.

Saratoga Rose Inn and Restaurant is the ideal location for weddings, rehearsal dinners and receptions, anniversaries, photo shoots, bridal and baby showers and romantic Victorian getaways. After an exciting day of activities you can dine al fresco on the veranda in summer or in the beautifully appointed  candle-lit dining rooms  which are air-conditioned during the warm months and warmed by their original fireplaces in winter.  You can then enjoy a relaxing evening in your private hot tub.
